Update from Charity Commission on the new Charities (Protection and Social Investment) Bill

The new Charities (Protection and Social Investment) Bill gives the commission new powers that will allow the commission to take strong action where abuse occurs. The Bill will close loopholes and fill key gaps in our powers.
This briefing provides an overview of the principles of the Bill and why the new powers are needed ahead of the Second Reading in the House of Commons.
